Six Canadian stocks on the TSX (over $10) made all-time highs last week, up from
four the week before. Once again, no stocks over $1 on the TSX Venture exchange reached a new all-time high. Charts from the TSX are below. For the second consecutive week, stock tickers beginning with the letter "S" are dominant (ha!).
CLT looks good as it showed a volume surge on it's breakout. On the other hand, notice
SXC Health Solutions actually only made an intraday all-time high (failing to close at a new high is short-term bearish) and is now heading for the bottom of its recent trading range. A close below $74 would put it in a precarious position with high probability of a slide. Depending on what time-frame you trade this is important to watch. Note also, that it's earning season so there can be big 'surprise' moves in either direction.
No all-time highs >$1 on the TSX Venture exchange. Not a healthy sign for Canadian stocks.
