High/Low Ratio Up and Regional Banks are Popping
New highs outnumbered new lows yesterday across all timeframes (see table below). Financials led the way higher (XLF up 2.3%) and there was good action among regional banks. Bank of the Ozarks (OZRK) stood out as it reversed and hit new highs on twice its average volume. According to Finviz.com more than 23% of OZRK's float is sold short. This means there could be even more short-squeezes to come (chart below).
